How do you know if you are overtraining?  There are many signs that somebody can be overtraining. Much like illness is some ways, the body will start to tell you to stop and you will experience symptoms much like you would if you were run down.

Strength Training
 
It is important to vary your training so that you can keep your workouts interesting.  It is also good to change the stimulus of your training every 4-6 weeks or so to prevent your muscles becoming used to what you are doing - otherwise eventually muscle growth will slow down.
