NOHrD Weight Workx combines weight training with classic design and organic materials. The traction cable performs the same exercises as our Water Workx system, yet offers the familiar feeling of training with weights.

The machine can be loaded with up to 70 kg. The individual weight plates weigh 5 kg and are rubberised, which provides for pleasantly muted acoustics when training.

There are moments when it makes sense to choose something familiar, especially when it's also especially good. For example, we are used to exercising our bodies under the influence of gravity; we feel the weight of our bodies and measure it in kilograms, pounds or stones. We are also accustomed to using muscle strength to initiate both muscle flexion and extension when we exercise.

Just think of knee bends and chin-ups. It’s not just pushing or pulling up that is difficult; so is lowering down, because you don't just allow your body weight to drop, but slow down the motion in a controlled manner. The muscles take over this task, because their fibres are extending under tension!

These so-called eccentric contractions are also the cause of muscle soreness, another everyday phenomenon.

• The weightstack of the WeightWorkx is divided into 17 plates of 5kg.


• The plates have a rubber coating, making the WeightWorkx comfortable in sound and use.


• With the arm, bench and seat folded in, WeightWorkx takes up less than 1m2 of floor space.


• The folding arm offers a higher working radius and allows for pull ups and other hanging exercises.


• The seat has two positions. The lower position increases core engagement. The horizontal position increases stability throughout your workout.
